Congrats Gator on a great victory!
It is always a blast to watch a World Series. I think this series having gone six games was somewhat deceiving, of just how decisively you beat me. Holding an offense that scored 1,055 runs in the regular season, to a series batting average of .240, and an anemic OPS of .650, points to the greatness of the Pittsburgh pitching staff. Prudhomme led the way with a one-hit complete game shutout, and Ranaundo was almost equally unhittable.
On the other side of the ball, the Pitts terrorized the Beltways' staff, with 26 runs in the final 3 games. Henry Rico hit .391 with 2 homers and 2 doubles in the series, and Glenn Wright piled up 10 hits for a WS average of .455.
Congrats again to the Pitts, and good luck in the offseason everyone.

Thanks very much. I really had very little hope of preventing the four-peat by the Beltways. You've built a dominant team and it will remain so for years to come. I've no doubt this won't be your last trip to the WS. Congrats on a great season.
The Pitts win is one for all the mediocre .500 teams of the N.L. :) Parity for sure!
The Pitts were a very streaky team all season, either very good for stretches or very bad. Finished the season with a very bad streak causing Pitts fans much concern for the upcoming playoffs. The fickle finger of ABE went from thumbs down to thumbs up and the 50-1 Vegas underdogs played their best baseball of the year in the WS.
Congrats again on your dominant 123 win season. Four A.L Championships in the last 5 years and 3 WS wns. That's a hell of a team.
Best of luck in the off season everyone as we all look forward to next season.

Congrats to Pittsburgh on their 2cd ever World Championship! In a rare post -World Series trade between the two participants, WAS added another #1 pick- their 8th in the next 3 years and practically assured themselves of dominant seasons for the next 10-12 years IMO.
