Why do we end up in the middle of the pack?

Are our players justifiably mediocre?

Your D line seems to be your weakest link. Your O line is decent pass wise and mediocre in run blocking. Without checking your game logs I'd guess you don't match up well against teams with a strong O or D line. When the opponent has both a strong O and D line I'd guess you are getting beaten by a good margin. Good luck!

Thats a good team, all the right skill sets at the right positions

I see 3 things that jump out at me:

1. Romney should get more touches. 15+ carries is perfect, but I would use him as a WR in shotgun. His 55% Reception % is only 4 points off the QB´s Completion % and his YAC is off the charts. That far out weighs the drops he´s going to have. I would let him return kicks too, he´s red in all the right places- Get him another 5-7 touches a game.

2. I would move Perry to FS, Kakasic to SS and Germany to CB (or NB) (and/ or play Jones at LCB). Perry has is a 24 EXE, once you add in the out of position penalty he´s not a strong CB, less so if you play a lot of zone.

3. Youre offense looks very unbalanced to me, just looking quickly, you are about 2-1 passing to rushing. I am guessing your Time of Possession is a minus and your sacks to TD Passes, 242/147, are way too high.

Its a high scoring league, so the best way to offset that is better ball control and figuring out a way to get your defense off the field as quick as possible. You have good talent defense so you should concentrate on stopping either the run or pass. If you can make you opponent one dimensional you will benefit from him being unbalanced.
