What I cannot abide is the British Columbia team, a consistent sub-.500 team with seeming no direction, no DRIVE. And this team, as if by accident, has gathered Draft talent but no attempt is made to drastically improve, via trades, resulting in year after year of bottom-feeding.
All well and good, and it's BC's system to run, but I cannot understand how it is possible, yet again, for this BC team to sweep my Edmonton squad. No matter what I do, no matter how I strategize, throwing=fail, running=fail, defending=fail. NOTHING WORKS vs this team.
Getting blown out by Pittsburgh is one thing, since it happens to everyone vs PIT right now. Getting outsmarted by SD or MIA, expected. Getting dominated EVERY time, maybe squeaking out the occasional win vs BC, is another. BC is the very definition of a slogger, a basic running team who cannot score points and has virtually no passing game.
And yet, I might as well bench all my starters, because I'm guaranteed two losses most any season vs this bunch! Or, if not losses, major injuries to key players. I don't want to say I'm getting mulched by the Sim engine, but SOMETHING is not kosher.
I guess the BC owner won't be happy about my poor sportsmanship, but screw it. I've had it up to here with his damned team!

Every season, without FAIL, my Edmonton squad plays hard within their division and, after a run of success and then a rebuilding and Playoffs last season, meets my expectations. However, lookign at your D, you lack Run Stoppers, and thats all he does, which is why he gashes your team and keeps the ball. Just my POV.

My season just ended today when my QB, Green, was put out for the season (41 day injury.)
But dig this: in the earlier match-up, Green was injured against the same team for 25 days. Which cost me several games in mid-season.
But the fun doesn't end there. Green's only other major injury, 22 days? In 1983, AGAINST THE SAME FRIGGIN' POS TEAM.
I mean, have you or anyone here ever heard of such a thing happening in any other Sim game, football or baseball? Or in real life, perish the thought?
I'm kind of just stunned by this development. Apparently I cannot compete against BC, either strategically or virtually, else I risk losing my star QB. I mean, I have to BENCH my QB to keep him from getting hurt vs BC? As he has in 40+% of the games he's started against them? REALLY?
