The blitzing options we have are:
Sam/Will
Corner
Max
(Sam/Will) Does this mean either Sam or Will are to blitz, or Sam and Will are to blitz? The in game statement says The Linebackers are blitzing. This is plural.
The same questions occur with corner blitz. Although the blitz name is singular the game statement is again plural.
Max blitz seem self explanatory if the name and game statements are to mean both Linebacker/s and corner/s are involved.
If these statements result in the plural blitzing the game suggest I would like to propose more blitzing options that would allow for pressure form multiple angles/areas of the field without totally exposing one style of play pass/run. I would prefer not to send 8 men into the box and covering with 3.

Right now, I'd say there's little to be done. It's all or nothing with this Sim, and frankly you won't be doing much more than slowing a good passing offense. I mean, I can't stop anybody in the free Leagues. In the Premium, you only have the talent, developing or veteran, that you have. Barring a trade, and trades are rare given how few blue chippers there are under 30 and owner willingness to trade them very low, you'll be stuck. In the Free League, you can only be happy if you give up less than 24-30 points a game vs Shotgun Pigs ie owners who run Shotgun as their primary offensive set.
The updates solved some of the problem, but a lot of the same issues remain.

Eventually there are going to be more unique plays for Offense and Defense in the Sim.Right now, I'd say there's little to be done. the game is certainly a work in progress and more blitz flexibilty is one area it would be nice to see improvement. but i can say with 100% certainty that the above statement is completely false. successful pass defences can absolutely be neutralized and mediocre offences that pass all the time are essentially a bye week for a compentently run pass defence.

And to answer the original question, my understanding is that both Sam and Will blitz under that strategy and both corners in a corner blitz. It's one of the reasons I myself don't like to blitz a lot in the sim. Having said that I have played with several owners who manage the blitz packages better than I do and they have some good success with them. One guy had a corner record double digit sacks one year, if memory serves.Pages: 1
