Is the success and/or result of this play dependent in any way upon how much you run? For example, would my PAP's be more successful and generate better results if I ran the ball 40 times a game versus 30 or 20?February 11, 2013 at 06:02PM View BBCode
No, but it should be. The main effect of a PAP is to further reduce the defense's effectiveness when they are in a run defense. But an easy way to make a PAP more effective would be to let it trigger the defensive automatic adjustments for overusing running plays... so you would have to run enough to almost trigger that, then the PAP would seal the deal, causing the defense to switch to a run defense on the fly.February 11, 2013 at 06:20PM View BBCode
That would be awesome. I'd love both the PAP to have variable effectiveness, and for Shotgun to have some running abilities. I'm a huge fan of the Pistol Read offense, and would love to get to a point where I could run something similar. I'd kill just for a Pistol formation at this point.February 11, 2013 at 07:03PM View BBCode

I was planning this for when I add a shotgun draw play so I could also do the same thing in reverse.

Are you saying its like that already and its an easy way for us to take advantage of it, or its an easy change you could make?
