QB problems

January 11, 2013 at 10:09PM View BBCode

Is there a certain stat or playcalls you need for heavy rain weather for a QB.My QB has an A execution, A+ throw power, and an A- throw accuracy. He sucks all the time in heavy rain.Today he is 7 for 29 passing a crazy 24 percent completion percentage. Can someone help me please.

can you give us a link to the team and game? that might help to see what's going on. A- acc isn't great but it's not 7-29 bad. on the other hand throwing deep in heay rain is a recipe for difficulties, especially against a defence that knows your tendencies. no idea if that's what's happening, but it's a possibiity.

just looking quickly at the first 3 quarters, you've had two drops and two passes broken up by the defence and only one incompletion due to a bad throw. but even if we credit him for completions he "should" have had on the drops and breakups that's still only 11-29, which isn't good either.

maybe it's your receivers? cotney is 2/12 with C- exe and henry is 2/8 with D+ exe. gay is 1-5 with A- exe but one of those incompletions was a 23 yard pass which is harder to complete in heavy rain now, one was caught but ruled out of bounds, one was a 14 yard att that got picked and one was the poor throw, so maybe he's an extenuating circumstances guy.

one other thing i notice is that you pass less than 15 yards almost exclusively, both in this game and overall. it may be that your opponent has realized that and is playing a lot of short zone against you. if he's designed a defence to specifically target your offensive tendencies and your low-exe WRs don't perform well in the rain (which i don't know for certain if that happens, although it seems like it could.) that might be a large part of what's going on.

if i you were to put a gun to my head and make me guess, i'd say the defence has been designed to combat your short passing offence and the rain is a red herring. i could be completely wrong about that, but that's my initial impression.

With the exception that Dirtdevil actually offers helpful advice, where you just complain that the Sim is working against you.

i've made an effort to address the issue that someone has brought to this forum for help, and given him my best effort and providing some input that may be beneficial. what have you done other than bring your own personal issues into someone else's thread?

Dirtdevil doesn't offer anything other than personal attacks and fanboy crap.

again, have you made any attempt to help the person who created this thread? or are you just trolling? because if it's the latter (and it sems like it is), maybe you could confine it to your own threads rather than ruin someone else's help requests.

given that i'm the only one who's actually offered any kind of help or advice in this thread, i'm just going to respectfully point out that you're completely off base with that and request that you refrain from bringing your viritrol and personal insults into someone else's thread.

i would also like to apologize to fresno. if i had know this thread was going to go in this direction i wouldn't have responded at all. i hope you got something of some value before your thread got hijacked into a personal vendetta.

Melodrama won't help you dirtdevil. You have hijacked many of my threads with a lot more vitriol and personal insults(remember when you had the nerve to call me homophobic? Please refrain from making false accusations and outright lying about people's character and who hijacks threads.

I would like to apologize for dirtdevil's immature bs. He obviously likes drama and can't handle the truth.

Looking at his opponents' QB, who went 19/40, I would say weather may have possibly played a bigger part than you originally stated (though we no way to be certain, I suppose, and FABE loves to throw Red herrings around).

Look at DD, talking about execution like he cares about it :P

Regardless, DD gave you some solid feedback. I'd keep that in mind when drawing up your gameplan. Variety is the spice of life.

there are very, very few positions (i think about 3) where i care much about exe. WR happens to be one of them. :P

Fair enough. The only other positions I really consider EXE for anymore are QB, K/P, and to a much lesser extent, the O-Line. Gotta pick up those blitzes! Doesn't seem to help Henry Taylor any though...

Some people don't care for Exe here, but apart from picking up Blitz's, I sometimes want to throw my phone when I see my linemen pick up False Start penatlies.

Oh, that drives me absolutely insane. I scream mean things to them whenever they do that. They don't like me when I'm angry.

I'll trade you Logan Paulsen for False-Start Adams. I bet Adams can at least get off the line.
