New Beta Owner

May 19, 2004 at 08:14PM View BBCode

BleedRed is taking over one of the NY teams in the short term league.

If anybody in the short term league wants to move to long term, I have an inactive owner in that league that we can replace.

Happy to be aboard. My Mac and I look forward to catching all sorts of trouble ;) As well as catching the a good view of the cellar from all of these vets.

Looking forward to meeting everybody on the fields and on the boards.

Tyson -- Could you elaborate on the future of the long-term league as opposed to the short-term league? I would be interested in moving from short-term to long-term, depending on how many seasons each league is going to play before resetting.

Although I think that the Phlames are about to take off, I would certainly prefer to be in the long term league which is much more interactive,

Most of the planned changes have to do with long-term issues in leagues. And not the day-to-day stuff. So we will most likely just keep running both leagues for a while. After a number of changes are put in, I may restart both leagues. But I'd like to get in at least a few more seasons before then.

Since both leagues are doing the same thing, I would like to go to the long-term league since it is a more active league.

Okay, I moved ME since he has been the most active on the beta boards thus far.

would it ever be possible for me to join a beat league at some point? just asking cause i think it would be fun to be able to help sample the stuff that was coming in, and work out all the bugs.

If you want to join, post a lot on the beta boards with suggestions and the like, and you may eventually get chosen. Currently ST Baltimore needs to be filled, but since you just got here, it will be hard for you to get that team. For now you can log in as betauser (password betauser) and check out stuff on the public beta team.

I'm going to leave that spot open for now. If someone steps up and shows that they are helpful with the testing, I'll give that team to them.

If you get chosen to play in a beta league, is it free or do you still have to pay?

P.S. I'm most interested in beta owners that are good at identifying bugs and finding the details-oriented problems.

Good choice of owners Ty. Good luck to you Bleed Red. You're the perfect fit. You've really helped me a lot and one of the few veterans that I can count on for great advice.

Your advice always paid off and I'm just doing what I can to pass it on to others in need. Time flies because I think it was about three months ago that I was a newbie. It's good to be on board.
