Not that the whole thing particularly matters but is there more to this trade? I see Wash getting a 3rd from Chi for Hinton, Chi optioning him and Wash getting him off of dfa/waivers. So the trade was a 3rd for nothing?

I was wondering the same thing!! Also how does the waiver claims work, since I also put in a waiver wire claim but didn't get him. I assumed, apparently incorrectly, that the waiver was based off of current standings.
