My job as commish is to put together the best group of owners for the long term health of the league. its not necessarily a first requested first served type of thing. I take into consideration a number of factors.
first I do give some preference to returning owners and their past history in the leagues. Those who have a positive history within the league but had to drop for a short period tend to get a preference in returning.
next, I look through the list of interersted owners here. Most of the potential owners arent known to me so I look at their history. When I look at history I look at both success and longevity. Success because I try to bring in the best possible ownership. I also look for longevity because I prefer owners who are going to be around. I tend to assume, without knowing one way or the other, that most owners can buy a good team and win a championship or two but can they rebuild, can they stick through things or are they one of those guys who cycles from team to team buying them high and then moving on when its time to rebuild.
Finally, I look for experience in leagues with similar timeframes. Dealing with a 12/day or 9/day league is different than a 3/day league. So a consideration is for those who have played in similar leagues. this is less important than the previous part.
The last consideration for me then is the order that people requested a salary league.

you're on the list. I consider everyone that t_farr has listed and anyone who has posted here since his last update when i make selections for my leagues. it takes time and patience since there aren't a whole lot of openings

Now, I'd like to experience the added variable of 'salary', free agents and the like. I'd also be excited to be paired up against other highly active owners, and the potential for actual competitive playoff races and teams properly managing their minor leagues. I've been reasonably successful with my two current teams, though I seem to be missing something about winning in the playoffs. I don't imagine I'd come in a succeed quickly, but I also think that I won't be struggling at the bottom.
Sorry to be so long winded, and thanks for reading through this if you've taken the time. Hope to be added to the list. I would have first preference for the Kevin Brown league, because I'd like to keep playing with variable development. But I wouldn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth, any league would be an experience.

Hello, I'd like to be added to the list please. I'm looking for something new from Simdynasty, like many of his here. I've been playing the game since 2004, always playing the game though taking occasional leaves of absence from the message boards. Until about a year ago I had always managed a single team at a time, I'm now playing with two teams and experiencing success with both. Both leagues are number leagues with system 3 improvements, and I think I've figured out all the tricks I'm going to for these circumstances. The appeal of the number leagues, for me, was the chance to be calculating with my players; tracing steal success by speed, noting endurance differences and average innings per start, and noting statistical differences between near exact players, are some of the ways I managed to spend my time.Now, I'd like to experience the added variable of 'salary', free agents and the like. Are we allowed to be placed on this list for a 2nd salary league if we are already in one? If so, sign me up. I still say we just start up a couple more of these leagues. They would no doubt fill up instantly.

You can tell the last update because it is the last day it was edited. Any time I go through some recruiting I send tfarr a list of who I contacted, who declined to join and who who joined.
