Still confused about keyed in

OK maybe I'm just too stupid to play this game, in this game let's pick up the play sequence at 9:09 of 2nd quarter. New Orleans drive starts with a shotgun formation that produces a pass, then I formation pass, I formation run then shotgun "keyed in" - keyed in on what ?

That is then followed by pro set run and then pro set "keyed in"......again keyed in on what ?

Are NY just geniuses ? New Orleans have run 5 plays from 3 different formations, 3 passes and two runs and NY have "keyed in" twice . This is followed by shotgun pass and then pro set with, you guessed it NY "keyed in" again.

If the formations and play actions don't mean anything then let's just get rid of them but otherwise can someone logically explain what it is exactly that NY is keying in on ?

There are flaws in keyed in that I haven't found yet; of course I've been tied up frying bigger fish. It is worth noting that plays carry over from drive to drive.

I will probably replace or remove the whole "keying in" system for something more logical when I upgrade the play engine to support individual plays.

As far as I can tell, right now Shotgun only produces passes. There are no draws or QB runs or anything else.

So at least this one I can say the answer is: keyed on pass.

It also seems that keyed-in has less and less effect. Short - medium passes are being completed with regularity if you dont get heavy pressure. And runs? It seems the offense does better when the D keys in than when its not
