While I have been hearing my name in trade rumours over the past few weeks I never once imagined myself playing for a club other than Toronto.
Being born and raised in Etobicoke it was a dream come true when the Chicago franchise was rescued from bankruptcy in 2009 and moved to Toronto. The fans really supported myself and the entire team through some very difficult years. The past couple of years have been like a dream. The team has moved into a winning position and have been fighting for a playoff spot.
I know the Toronto team will be in the playoffs in the next season or two but my main goal is now to dedicate myself to the 1969ers, pass St. Louis and win the World Series so I can bring the trophy home and parade it down Blue Jays Way and show Toronto what a mistake they have made by trading me.
