The following trade is being voted on in the Edd Roush League:

A trade has been completed between the Montreal Mambas and the Oakland Hissing Monkeys. The Oakland Hissing Monkeys receive Draft Pick - 2027 Round 1 (MON) from the Montreal Mambas in exchange for Larry Kramer.

Please do not comment on this trade if you are in the league or have any other vested interest.

Trying to determine the intent of owners is tricky business, but the trade protester suggests that Montreal is a rebuilding team that just sent away a potentially valuable pick here.

It's very hard to place value on Kramer objectively, as his ratings are decent but he has never pitched in this league so my guess is he was sitting in the minors long enough that he finally popped up to A- overall in the past couple seasons.

He's OS33 and will very likely drop down to B+ level on his first decline, so he's a very marginal player at this point in his career. Arguably could be worth a late 1st/early 2nd to a team that needed a 4th/5th starter upgrade and was competing.

To a rebuilding team, he doesn't have any real value aside from mentoring, which can be acquired far cheaper.

So I look at the owner cards to see if the Montreal owner perhaps is being taken advantage of. He has 15 seasons of Dynasty and 9 seasons of Private league experience, which is possibly enough to determine whether this deal helps him but not necessarily so.

Since I can't read minds, I can't know what Montreal's plans are here enough to know whether this was just a trade that might not benefit him much or a deal he made because he didn't know what he was in for.

Therefore, I'm not making a recommendation on overturning, because absent evidence that this is genuinely a fleecing, I don't feel comfortable offering more than this objective analysis.
