OK, so we have yet another protest of a trade involving Montreal, and I see others have been reversed already.

It bears repeating that we are talking about a free league that is nearly over. No one is gaining anything important no matter what happens in this deal.

That said, yes, this deal is unbalanced. Montreal clearly got two very nice players and gave up almost nothing useful.

BUT he also acquired them after the deadline to use them in the playoffs, even if he somehow makes up the 6-game deficit with 15 to play.

Is this really worth the trouble?
