Holy...me, TR, lance, and cowboy in the NCW; Hammy, blak, red, and old bear in the NCE..I was hoping that I'd have a conference to myself..lol

I'm barely half the owner I once was (and I wasn't really that good to start with ...)

The fact that i'm 40k under the cap will tell you a lot about how much time I had to devote to draft strategy ... This league just moves too fast to be anything but plug em in and let em run.

We had like four days this time...

But yeah, this is going to be a fast moving league for a few seasons, I need to see if all the development changes we've made are having the desired effects.

I'm 30k under the cap with 11 players still to cut, but I think that's the way you HAVE to draft initially if you want room for your players to grow in addition to drafted guys..

Yes, there was time for me to do more if I really wanted to. But I chose not to. I get too wrapped up in these teams if I invest too much time in setting them up.

I spend a lot of time on the draft and still ended up with a very mediocre team, so perhaps I should've just punted :).

I spent about 20 minutes on the draft, and my team shows it, but I did make an effort to create cap space and succeeded. I'm roughly $38K under the cap with a foolishly expensive backup QB so more room for next year.

I don't have a lot of talent though so I should be well under the cap, we'll see how things progress.

I could fit an entire other team under the cap at this point, and many of the young guys I got have little potential.

Hopefully the first draft will be bountiful.

And maybe this time we'll be the team buying expensive players off teams struggling with the cap. Might be nice ...
