Trade Vote in the Manny Ramirez League

The following trade is being voted on in the Manny Ramirez League:<br /><br />A trade has been completed between the Florida Storm and the Cincinnati reds. The Cincinnati reds receive <a target = "_blank" href = "http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=9233667">Rick Knickerbocker</a>, <a target = "_blank" href = "http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=9233639">Dave Risberg</a>, Draft Pick - 2057 Round 1 (FLA) from the Florida Storm in exchange for <a target = "_blank" href = "http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=9088883">bob gibson</a>. <br /><br />Please do not comment on this trade if you are in the league or have any other vested interest.

In this one Cincinnati gets
Rick Knickerbocker an OS22 RF with 72/79 66/55 attributes. He'll be able to hit righties but not so much against lefties. I'd project him to be somewhere in the 84/91 78/67 range if he gets 500+ at bats. That's a solid guy but mostly a 4th OF/platoon type.
Dave Risberg an OS22 SS with 68/74 87/71 attributes. I"d guess that he'll peak out in the 80/86 100/83 range. Should be a solid hitter.
1st round pick
SO a couple of decent prospects here
In return Florida gets
bob gibson an OS26 SP with 97/66 attributes. He's almost done developing but I'd guess he can reach 100/70 range before being totally done. The lower control will give him some larger variations year to year but A+/B type pitchers are almost always effective number 2 and sometimes number one type guys. He's a good pitcher.
I'm not sure why this is protested. If the issue is that a good young pitcher is being dealt well, that's an ownership perogative. He's getting a good and a decent young prospect plus a first round pick back in return. That value is appropriate for this deal.
I'm most suspicious that this deal was protested by teams competing with Florida who don't like him getting a good young pitcher. It is certainly frustrating to see your opponents get good players in trade but that's not the standard. I see nothing here that warrants a protest much less an overturn.
