Cp points suck we need a change

August 09, 2011 at 02:53AM View BBCode

There are no CP trades allowed here and a team can not rebuild when you do not have enough CP points to put on your youngsters. Only allowed to put 5 or 4 at most on 3 players so basically you can only develop 3 players at a time. That is a joke when trying to rebuild for the future. We should move to the system that does not require CP points.

i like cp points.....cant we intruduce trading them rather than doing away entirely with them? (i like this idea)

.....or allowing putting 4 points on 5 different players (or vice versa)......though that might require a big change....like introducing a new system.

The ducks are proof that you can do it but it does take a while. But I do agree with having the ability to trade cps. One thing I don't like about no cps is that the league becomes to dominant and teams are stacked

Trading CP's is at least better then the present system. Something needs to be done I hate having 5 or 6 really good minors but only being able to put a good amount of points on 3 of them so the others just turn out to be average players when they could have been a lot better.
I can see what will happen with my team not to far in the future with the lack of CP 's. I will have to start playing 19 year olds at the major league level just to free up points for other players.

Guess I am in the minority, but I am ok with the current system. Teams are rebuilding successfully all the time, so I don't understand the idea that it is too difficult to rebuild. Takes awhile, as mentioned above, but it is the same for everyone.

the current system is just fine. It does require patience and picking wisely in the draft but many teams have successfully rebuilt with it.

It is funny, but I do not recall Predators having an issue with it when he was in the playoffs every year. Only now when he has to go through the same task that myself and many others have.

yes I have always been against this system. I am in 4 leagues and 3 out of the 4 have systems where there are no CP points that you have to manually place. If I was asked earlier when my team was dominating I would have voted for the change.
It is not realistic for a baseball team to be limited to just being able to develop 3 players properly at a time. The real world does not work that way.
Why is there always someone that has to come out with a negative remark (bigamusk). Why be a "Hater"???
The issue never came up for me before as I have not had to rebuild in a long time but whenever I join leagues now I make sure they are more realistic and do not have this limitation on them. cheers

I have never tried the no cp league but it sounds interesting. I would like to know more about how it works.

i like the cps......ive been in other leagues without them but it wasnt my cup of tea......its all about what you like. Thats why there are different leagues.....we all have different tastes.

well I will take that back, ok with the current system minus the ludicrous 60 win rule... the basis of the rule is counterproductive and only hurts teams that are seriously rebuilding
