Week 3

July 19, 2011 at 06:07PM View BBCode

All games are close and within a TD going into the 4th Quarter. With the expection of TOL vs PHX. PHX has a 2 TD lead going into the 4th. TOL will try to make it 3 straights 4th Quarter comebacks. Let's see if PHX Desert Storm Defense can hold them off.

I know that Hamilton is only down 7 going into Q4, but I feel completely defeated already. It has been a very upsetting game for me.

The River Cats were 32 points behind after the 3rd quarter in week 2, only 1 point down this week. Definitely an improvement!

Another close one for the Predators, but we pulled through again to move to 3-0

take a shot at a 57 yard field goal were by 1 with 3 minutes to play in the game, instead he punt the ball from the 47 and it go in to end zone, and sf runs out the clock

bummer. We lost because of a spectacular catch by a guy with "B+" catching. Apparently, his ability to jump in an agile manner is more important than how well he can actually catch a pass.

Good game Philly, we had no answer for you today.

the score was definitely not indicative of the play in the COL/SAS game. still, i thought we did not too bad considering that our starting qb is still out and i just realized we had the wrong defensive scheme in place for the game.

Whew...SAS made that closer than it should have been, for sure..we had at least 20 first downs for the 3rd straight week (20), a 70%+ completion percentage for the 3rd straight week (82%), we converted 66% of our 3rd downs, and more importantly, our defense was dominant (107 yards passing, 78 yards rushing, 1 INT, only 16 YAC, and only 43 plays..). You guys forced a couple more turnovers than I would have liked though, and I'm glad I'm done with you guys until the playoffs at the very least!

Thanks. After Jones fumbled deep my own end and the Navy scored a TD I thought something bad was going to happen. The Smashers recovered the onside kick attempt but then on the next play Jones fumbled again! The Smashers recovered....exhale!

Tough luck losing your starting QB but the Enterprise played well.

Dateline: Jacksonville

Home-field wasn't an advantage -- could it be talent?

Week three finally brought the Eskimo Pies into the light. Without worrying about prominent pom-poms or suspect spots, the Pies showed their worth. This week against division rival Jacksonville Jet Fighters.

The Jet Fighters came into the game averaging over 210 yards per game on the ground plus 140 through the air. It looked like another tough contest for our Pies. Looks can be deceiving! A three-play opening drive touchdown set the tone for the game. The Jet Fighters never seemed to get off the taxiway

When asked to comment on the game Coach Nanook had this to say, "We put these Lear Jets in the deep freeze. Who says Eskimos can't fly."

Next up for the revitalized Pies is another divisional match-up when we host the Sacramento River Cats. The Fighters meet conference rivals the Toledo Speedos.
