Last season 11 of my 16 INTs were by Safeties and just 3 total by starting CB.
Shouldn't CB be picking balls off a little more often, relatively?
I checked the full league this season, and 41 of 78 INTs are by Safeties so far. That's a better ratio than my teams, but it still seems out of whack. There are 9 by LB, so that leaves 28 of the 78 by CB. Aren't they the ones doing the most pass defending?

I haven't looked too deeply into this, but so far this season I have 10 INTs, all by Safeties. My SS has 6 of them, and his Catching rating is just 14 (so clearly that isn't a big factor)Last season 11 of my 16 INTs were by Safeties and just 3 total by starting CB.

Either way, I think you might be onto something..wonder what it looks like in other leagues (with different drafts).

I have to wonder if the number of times a pass defender is thrown at is affected by their Pass Coverage skill? If so, CBs seem to have a higher cover skill--maybe that leads to too few passes against them (and therefore fewer chances at interceptions)?Either way, I think you might be onto something..wonder what it looks like in other leagues (with different drafts).

I have never tried to track which guy is being targeted on passes that are intercepted, but you may be onto something there.

The talent pool is usually much deeper for CB, I've noticed, but it sure seems like teams throw to the #1 and #2 receivers plenty.I have never tried to track which guy is being targeted on passes that are intercepted, but you may be onto something there.

I don't even know how to track it without looking at the inner workings of the game.
