Meh. It's OK. I switched up my strategy in the 2nd quarter because I couldn't get the ground game going in the 1st. Kingston was injured while blocking on a pass play. He had 31 carries last week for like, 176 yards, and has been ripping the league up with his running skills. Apparently he sucks at pass blocking technique and now we'll suffer for it! LOL

Shouldn't my defense be better than this? I mean, I understand that CHA has some incredibly talented skill position players, but my team routinely gets shredded by run-first offenses and I do not understand it.
My D-Line: B-/B-/A-/B- on the Run Cover skill; A/B/B+/A- on Tackling; B+'s on Pursuit; A-/A- at DT Strength.
My LB's: average an A- on Run Cover and Tackling and I have two with "A" Pursuit.
Even my DB's have blue run cover (which is really high, most DB's, esp. CB's, have C+ or lower Run Cover).
And we cannot freaking stop anyone running the ball.
I know that my weakness is the deep pass, my safeties are not very good, so the 25+ passing plays that get completed do not bother me all that much.
But even with that, CHA's QB is 15 of 16 and he has mostly thrown passes of 15+ yards.
*shakes head
Oh well, great game, CHA. You boys deserved this one.

Your team has executed flawlessly (you had 1 fumble, which I turned into a TD, but other than that, flawless). You are converting on 3rd down, completing long passes at a remarkably high %, breaking tackles on nearly every play, opening huge holes for your RB's, and your defense is coming up with a lot of great stops as well. CHA deserves the win today, it just boggles my mind that my defense is this terrible sometimes.

Wow, what a crazy week.
The game of the week has to be the upset of PHI over COL. Going into the 4th quarter, COL led 17-7 and had the ball at the PHI 15 yard line. They kicked a FG 3 plays later to take a 20-7 lead with 14 minutes to play.
An illegal contact penalty on 2nd and 20 at the 11:25 mark gave PHI a free 1st down and kept a drive alive. At 7:02, on the same drive, PHI converted a 4th and 7 with an 8-yard completion to the COL 18. This drive looked terrible for COL, with every unlucky thing possible going wrong (pun intended). Thing One caught a TD pass from The Unibomber with 5:09 to play and cut the lead to 6 (20-14).
At 4:12, QB Gino Bell fumbled and PHI's Beast recovered the ball inside the COL 25-yard line to give the Atom Smashers a short field, but COL's defense came up with a 4th-down stop at the 2:14 and took over from thier own 20 with a 6-point lead and 2 minutes to play.
A 4th and Inches punt from COL gave PHI the ball with 1:43 to play and 1 time-out. 4-yard completion. 39-yard completion. 4-yard run. Time out. Incomplete pass. 9-yard run. 2-yard TD run. Extra Point. Game over. 21-20.
I'm sorry, Eddie. This season for COL is reminding me of the DAL franchise from a few years back.

Summed up well....except I think this is worse than DAL....even DAL beat us this way this season..
Out of 8 games:
Week 1-Calgary: Led by 14-0 at halftime. Tied at 17 after OT.
Week 2-Oakland: Good old fashioned COL ball. 30-7 win.
Week 3-Hamilton: Led 14-0 at halftime. Gave up 2 4th-quarter TDs. Lost 17-16.
Week 4-LA: More good old fashioned COL ball. 27-10 win.
Week 5-LA: Ok, we deserved this one. No question. 10-34 loss.
Week 6-DAL: Led 17-7 halfway through the 4th quarter. Gave up two 4th quarter TDs. 17-21 loss.
Week 7-BYE: Believe it or not, with our luck, no injuries to heal this week.
Week 8-SF: Tactics switch at halftime got me a slight lead. Maybe the luck changes? 17-16 win.
Week 9-PHI: Led 20-7 with 5 minutes left in the game. 2 4th quarter TDs given up. 20-21 loss.
That's 4 double-digit leads blown in 8 games for 1 tie and 3 losses. My overall record: 3-4-1. I hate missing the draft

The Trojans finally get the running game going in 28-10 win.
I have to say, this is a very good league and there are no easy games. Should be a fun second half.
Where´s Fulla?

I don't know where he is. He hasn't posted in our dynasty league (baseball) either for a while. I wonder if he died?

it's not. we once blocked the go-ahead field goal only to see the kicking team recover it and run it in for a TD.

The key word there is "once".
We're at 4 second-half double-digit leads blown....including two game-winning FGs missed (both very make-able).
Looks like we may blow another 4th quarter lead against Houston in Week 10.........
