In [url=http://footballbeta.simdynasty.com/boxscore.jsp?boxscoreid=2578&thid=254]this game[/url] New Orleans lets the game go to overtime, and loses because our 99% accuracy kicker misses two extra points and 3 field goals .May 09, 2011 at 09:35PM View BBCode
Yeah, I think that there might be something wrong with the Kicking code. I usually bid high and get a very good kicker, but I did not do that last season in the RMFL and my guy is a B+/B+ who seems to be doing better than my higher rated players from previous years.May 09, 2011 at 09:43PM View BBCode
Is it possible that better kickers try more challenging kicks because the calculations show them having a shot at them? Whereas the average kicker doesn't try the tough ones and converts better the ones he does try?May 09, 2011 at 09:43PM View BBCode
[url=http://football.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=249802]Greg Benjamin[/url] - he is a B overall K. B+ execution, B+/B+ strength and accuracy. (Also, how is he only a B overall? Shouldn't he be a B+?) 16 of 21 (76.2%) on FG's and 26 of 26 on extra points (100%).May 09, 2011 at 09:57PM View BBCode
The thing that really slays me with [url=http://footballbeta.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=70355]Moore[/url] is that he's missed 5 XPs through 11 games, he's 82.1% on XPs. This from a guy with 99 accuracy.May 11, 2011 at 07:04PM View BBCode
There was an 18 MPH crosswind. Under those circumstances I can see the missed field goals, but for the extra points (and shorter field goals) there's code that's supposed to compensate by lowering the kick angle. If you look at the two misses, they are both a hair outside the post, but at the very top of the display, implying that either the kick angle was not lowered or was not lowered enough.May 13, 2011 at 02:11AM View BBCode
My internet's been out all day so I am posting from my phone. The kicking code itself holds up; even in a snowstorm with a 20mph cross wind, extra points should be 93%, and overcompensating like this game is a tenth of a percent. Even with a bad hold he'd be 91%. So either this was exceedingly bad luck or the problem is farther up the code chain. Tested in isolation, though, the kick module itself is fine.Pages: 1
