I noticed this play from the boxscore in my game today in the Willie Brown league:
02:22. 0 10 LV --- OAK 30 Oakland lines up for the kickoff. Danny Mitchell kicks off for the Raiders. Kick hang time: 3.75 seconds. The ball is caught at the LV 8 by Don Joseph. Don Joseph returns the kick to the LV 23. TWO MINUTE WARNING; Clock has been stopped.

If this is the second quarter, the timing is technically correct; the clock is restarted adter the return and the two minute warning occurs during the ensuing huddle. If it's the 4th quarter it's a bug, as the clock is not supposed to restart in the last 5 minutes.April 03, 2011 at 07:50AM View BBCode
It was the second quarter, so that explains it. The rule seems a bit weird to me but oh well. Thanks for the info!April 06, 2011 at 03:20AM View BBCode
I need to review this one. Every written source I've found confirms these rules but actually watching NFL games, the rules don't seem to be applied that way.Pages: 1
