we were ahead and in the yellow zone, so the offense decided to run. Wise idea you'd say, but wait... then it calls for a timeout! What happens next is: completed pass nullified by a holding; run, and ANOTHER timeout; completed pass one yard short from the first down; punt formation.
The whole action happened in my yellow zone, so the two timeouts are against the setting that asks for the offense to be within 60 yards from the opposing end zone to call a timeout. After the completion on third down, the offense decided it was not worth it and instead of calling the third timeout decide to punt, essentially making the clock run off (why not kneeling down, then?).
Sorry for the leghty details, but here looks like the game engine adopted two conflicting strategies at the same time, and again, clock control when ahead in the game appears to be a sensible area here!
