How are the 1st round "bye`s" awarded?

anyone know how/why the playoffs were structured the way they were?How are the 1st round "bye`s" awarded?

The other division winner plays the best record of a second-place team (the wild card).
Good game to Philly in Round 1 though...that was our worst game all season after our best start (started the game 14-0 Atlanta, finished 49-17 Philadelphia...)

Whew...well good luck to you guys in the Sim Bowl tomorrow! I've got my other team there, but the teams (especially yours) were too good in this league.Who is returning?
