Hi all. I am currently in preseason week 2. What do the drill categories A C D F K S W stand for? Also, what is a reasonable general strategy for applying these? Thanks very much.

I think that there is a good explanation of the drill categoried in the Game Guide posted under the Help tab. (Sorry, I can't access it at the moment to post the link.)

OK, that looks really bad since it is 12 minutes after DirtDevil posted the link. I clicked this post to read it at about 6:00, in my pathetic defense.

Do these drills work. I've been trying to discipline my entire offensive line, and I got 3 false starts in the 1st quarter today?

Improvements target different skills and drills, among which will be execution. If you are focusing on discipline, you'll get more execution improvements over time, but it takes a while.

Here's a guy I trained in discipline all season. He hit on 9 of 16 ICs in execution and also improved attitude 5/10:

So if you imagine taking a young player in a multi-season league, eventually he will start to move up a few grades but it will take time. You aren't going to see jumps from C- to A even in a career.

also, there are always going to be negative outcomes. even the best players screw up on a semi-regular basis.

and regardless of what happens in a single quarter, it it to small a sample to mean much at all.

It's been happening all year. I chose to provide a small sample. Regardless.

What kind of Aggressiveness and Execution does your line have? Can you give us a link to your roster?

Thanks!

False Starts are designed to occur approximately 2.5 times per game. In 10,194 games we have had 29,648 False Starts which is 2.9 per game, so I will reduce them by 15%.

Actually it looks like False Starts average about 2.6-2.8 per game in the NFL, so I'll split the difference and aim for 2.7.
