Denny Lugo

February 19, 2011 at 10:19PM View BBCode

Did I just pull a Jeffery Hammonds to Milwaukee in 2001 or Gary Matthews Jr in 2006 to Angels... when I signed a guy that had 1 good year to a high (for me) 4 year deal?? He's now my highest paid hitter on a team that made the playoffs last season.

What kinda message was I sending to the team there??

Yet last season I refused to go that high Jim Sanders... who is a legit star (with 3 30 HR season and a handfull of .300 avg season) and he was my homegrown.

In retrospect why didn't I judt keep 'my guy' last season?

I don't know but I'm glad I got Sanders, although his last season at $9.1 million after two years of decline could be ugly .

Lol. Carlos goodfellow. He's going to be the first player in sim dynasty history to bite the dust while catching a fly ball. What is he now, 55? Is he a C- overall yet?

Through 101 games (played) Lugo is doing .308, 14 HR, 82 RBI. Not sure he's worth the 8.1 million, but he's really not half bad...

I was trying to keep him active until he reached D+ overall rating. As luck would have it somebody else signed him this season so I no longer have any control on him.

Until next year. Well, if he were to be signed by anyone but you, it would be Cleveland.

Carlos is kind of rejuvenated in Cleveland, hitting above the Mendoza line and already 4 jacks this year.

I hear the boys want to keep him around so he can get seniors discounts at movies and restaurants next year.

they're starting all the games at two, so carlos can make the early bird.

I'm going go ahead and say I think Denny Lugo was, in fact, worth the money I paid him.... based on the past 2 season's performaces. I don't think his ratings indicate he should be as good as he's doing.

He's up to 32 HR, 131 RBI, and .319 avg.

i am going to go ahead and say here is another one from the LOL file

http://beta.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?mode=player&playername=nobody&id=61995

do you know how much better it is than lugo? it isn't. they both suck.

(have you figured out the pitching sucks? it does. the....pitching...sucks. especially on the bottom two teams, which are god awful. the 5th and 6th place teams are not much better, but the baseball gods (jesus, yeah, some freaking kid said baseball gods in some kind of left handed shortstop thread today, LOL throwing hand) demand some team has to win the "game" when all the flips are done. the third and fourth place teams? yes, them, my team is one of them. they suck at pitching too.)
