Depth Chart question (green circles and dots)

In the depth chart formation charts, green circles mean "from the default of the depth chart" and red triangles mean "best available"...but what is the differences between the green circles with and without the green dots?

WITH the green dot means that it came from a more specific sub-preference rather than the master depth chart for the position (for instance Left Tackle vs. Tackle or SOLB vs. OLB).

green circles mean the player is selected from the generic positional chart. with the dots means he's been selected from the more specific positional charts. (ie) T vs LT or WR vs SE.

if you toggle over the icon it will actually tell you which depth chart it is working from for each player.
