list of suggestions

i can't keep up with all the threads..so i don't know all that's been suggested, nor do i know , so i apologize in advance if anything here is just repeating old stuff....but here are a list of things i'd like to see:
*A leaderboard for players. One pulldown called All Teams which can also list individual teams; One pulldown for position, one pull down for category of stat, and one pull down for year (or career or single season)
*An individual stats page, with a choice given of all players, or by position. i'd really like to just see my WR stats all listed together, or all my players regardless of position and their receiving yards, or their rushing yards
*The inclusion of defensive stats. Tackles, Sacks, Interceptions, Yardage, etc. that could be seen on player cards, but could also be retrieved through the leaderboard and individual stats page.
*An improvement report page, with the ability to look at all my players' improvements, or go strictly by position
*Under team stats, there should be defense stats, like how many points and yards (passing and rushing) all the defenses in the league gave up. that is important when setting my strategy for an upcoming opponent. if i see they give up a lot of passing yards, i will want to have a strong passing game.
*Removal of the BYE week. I realize it is there to emulate the real NFL, and it might be good for the sole purpose of having players get some rest, but i don't want to sit around for an entire day and not play SD football, and be just a spectator for all the other games in the league.
*Update the standings page with pre-season standings
*Have a REST feature so you can rest players completely from pre-season games

i don't see much point in a rest feature- making someone inactive performs that function nicely- but i like the rest of them.

i posted this is game questions earlier, but this seems like a better home for it.

i know that 2 1/2 preseason games isn't enough to really draw conclusions from, but from early exposure, i had a few thoughts/ideas about areas that might be improved.

1) stats- this has been brought up before, and i understand it's on the drawing board but some more complete stats packages similar to the baseball ones would be nice. it is a nuisance to have to open every player card to see how my players are performing. a single page for team stats would be great. defensive stats is obviously something that would be a great enhancement as well, but i think everyone knows that by this point

2) depth charts- it would be really, really nice to be able to move between depth charts without having to return to the main screen every time. if there was some kind of drop down where i could move directly from the qb depth chart to the rb and so on, that would save tons of time.

3) intial draft- i'd love to be able to see my draft rankings after the draft has run, as we do in baseball. i like to be able to go back in a see what the actual draft order was compared to my own rankings.

4) formations- i'd like to be able to tailor individual formations more to my liking. i'd rather go with a traditional FB in the I and and better runner in the pro-set, for instance. i'd also like to have access to the 3-4 and so forth. i undestand that this is either in works or already prepared for the pay leagues, but it bears mentioning.

5) league lineups page. i'd love to be able to see everyone's qb's or wr's or G's at the same time, as is baseball.

anyway, that's just some quick thoughts. some are undoubtedly duplications, for which i apologize.

It is worth noting that you do not have to have 45 active players. As long as you have 45 or less (and at least 24 uninjured) active players, you can have as many inactive as will fit below the roster limit.

Pardon me if this is actually in the game and I just can't find it. Was wondering if there was a way to have an offense for the final 6 or 7 minutes of a game where, with a lead, you switch to a more conservative offense (i.e.: ball control, run the clock, stay in bounds if possible, etc.).

The sim automatically does this to a degree. There is not yet a mechanism for you to control "running out the clock."

Running out the clock is automated; in the final two minutes (regardless of your 2 minute setrtings), if you are winning, your team starts taking the maximum amount of time to put the ball into play and switching to the inside run to eat the clock, and will kneel the ball when appropriate. (Note that the offense will also start doing this if it is the final two minutes and they are losing by more than 5 touchdowns.)

Regarding the BYE week: I recommend using this week to look at what your opponents are doing and fine-tune your strategies. Also, in multi-season, the BYE week is a good time to evaluate the draft pool; to facilitate this I have college seniors (and select juniors) declare for the draft in week 4 rather than waiting until January. (Techically it's not official until January, the college players are simply "making their intentions known " as they can't play college ball after they declare.)
