Calling up players

I need some advice on calling up players. A question I'm asking with regards to RP Rip McAllistair.

Basically, he's 21 and B+, one of my better prospects. I'm thinking I could use him at the major league level, as my bullpen is pretty frekkin' awful.

My question: what's best for a prospect's development? Leaving him in the minors with 5 CP 'till they're about 23? Or the sooner at the major leagues, the better?

If you're going to use him in the majors, I would say bring him up. He'll probably get more cps playing.

Thing is, I read this in the guide:

For player age, there is a "sweet spot" of about 23-25 where players will convert the highest percentage of ICs in the Major Leagues. Players younger (and older) than this will convert fewer ICs. Bringing up a younger player into the Major Leagues might jeopardize his potential. Minor League IC conversion rates are generally better for younger players (22 and below).

Then again, I've noticed e.g. the Brew Crew playing a lot of young players at the major league level, presumably because it'll aid their development.

Keep in mind that this guy is actually 22 years old this year- not 21. I would bring him up.
