Hey guys. Given I don't have too much experience with the game, could someone explain to me in layman terms how the draft system works?

There's a basic explanation in the "game guide" under help. It's under amateur draft 3.3.2 in team information. Basically, you choose the number players in each position that you are willing to draft, and the importance of each skill that you want in your players... including hitting, power, speed fielding, age, or velocity,control, and endurance. You're probably better off going for youth since they will have more time for improvement.

But anyway, basically the only point of interest is the amateur draft, right? Because I never had the expansion draft... I guess it's just because I took over someone else's team. Got a little confused at first.

Right, I thought so too. Apparently the last draft yielded a 25 year old catcher rated B. At pick 5. :(But anyway, basically the only point of interest is the amateur draft, right? You can raise or drop a player in the draft ranking by changing the number. However, a good catcher is hard to find, and if I remember right he had a good arm and could hit.

True, he's not half bad. But the thing is, I've already got a catcher that can hit. And he's little more than a year older.Pages: 1
