BC Rain revenged an early defeat in Oakland with a convincing 26-10 victory over the Raiders in week 16 .
The win clinched the Western Division title for the Rain. making next week's matchup in Los Angeles an exercise in staying healthy. Quarterback Phil Bandy continued his aerial assault passing for a staggering 472 yards on 32/53 passing, once again Bandy teamed up with wideout Milt young for over 200 yards, 231 on 15 receptions. It is likely that both Bandy and Young will be observers in Los Angeles next weekend .
The Rain defense continues to make life difficult for opposition QB's as they sacked Oakland quarterback Steve Burks four times and picked off a pair of passes. The only down note of the game for BC was an almost total inability to run the ball, but when you throw for 472 yards really, why bother with the run ?

I have lost twice this season while throwing for over 500 yards. Ike Allen had 347 receiving yards in a loss to LAA. Sometimes it helps to run it. You never know what will happen.
(Oh, we did beat WAS though. They're really bad.)

Passing will not be nearly as successful when I get the defensive options working.
