Rain Win in the rain Again

In a struggle that simply should not have happened the BC Rain scored 10 points in the final 1:20 to pull out a 23-17 victory over Tulsa . The win runs the Rain winning streak to four games and keeps them on top of their division with an overall record of 6-3.

The fact that BC needed late game heroics is bizarre given their domination of the game. BC had 22 1st downs to Tulsa's 9 and 457 yards of offense as compared to 290. BC also held the ball for over 35 minutes and did not commit a turnover. A poor kicking game, kickoffs and punts, and a lack of finish in the red zone kept the game close but in the end justice prevailed.

BC QB Phillip Bandy continued his fine play, throwing for 409 yards and 2 TDs on 32/42 passing and WR Milt Young had his 3rd straight 200+ yard receiving week. The Rain rushing game sputtered but still produced 92 yards and the defense continued to shut down running games, Tulsa rushed for 8 total yards, and harass quarterbacks, the Rain registered 6 sacks.

Punter and kickoff specialist Francis Gant had a week he'd rather forget, Gant averaged only 27.7 yards punting with none longer than 40 yards, although he did place 2 punts inside the Tulsa 20. Gant also struggled with kickoffs and BC announced that they have signed Joe Elmendorf to their roster .

Looks like your passing game (both defensively and offensively) is going to put the division away for you, TR. Great work.

Most of these games are all a little too exciting for me Hammy .

I couldn't believe that we were trailing with just over a minute and a half to go in the Tulsa game after pushing them around all afternoon.

I also must confess I have no idea why my pass rush is so good, we've got 38 sacks through nine weeks . Must be the coaching :D

I looked at your DL and LB's before our game, their ratings are really good for pressuring the QB (I'm not sure why, but I do remember noticing that.) I had moved my OL around to run more effectively (lol, we suck at running) and I forgot to change it back to a pass first line against your team. Your front 7 is brutal on quarterbacks.
