Mackiewicz No Hitter

December 24, 2010 at 07:45PM View BBCode

Hobe Mackiewicz threw a no hitter. 25-0. How often do games like this actually happen? A no hitter of course happens but a 25-0 victory? I can't remember a team scoring 25 runs in one game in MLB, yet I have seen it numerous times in Sim Dynasty, not even mentioning the fact it was a no-hitter.

Texas beat Baltimore 30-3 in 2007, SIM has little of the "don't run up the score" traditions that occur in MLB and often SIM teams aren't trying to win, which only appears to happen in MLB if you live in Pittsburgh.

Texas has effectively been without an owner for two full seasons, you don't see that in MLB either - well maybe in Florida but really not often.

How many times do you see it in SIM ?

I don't know, it didn't occur in any of my four regular leagues last season but maybe it happens more than in MLB .

I have seen quite a few 20+run games (numerous might have sounded like a bit of an exaggeration, now that I think about it). Not necessarily no hitters, but I remember hearing about a similar situation to that of Mackiewicz's on some message board thread.
