Bill Toland, SP. One of the best pitchers in the game up until this point. It was a sad day to trade Bill. He was, and still is, a fan favorite.
Chuck Frey, C. Like Bill, up until this point, he is one of the best at his position. Also, like Bill, it was a sad day to trade him. Chuck will always be remembered by the fans.
Jot Swartzbaugh, OF. The best OF to play for Boston, so far. Mentor to, the now All-Star, Harry Biancalana.
Charlie Brown, 2B. One of the few Monsters that could hit for some power. Hitting 22 HR's in his first two seasons and stealing over 30 bases twice. His short career did nothing to keep the fans from loving him in Boston.
Billy Burkhardt, SP. Not the greatest of pitchers, but he did well as a number 2 starter. The Monsters brass appreciated his work ethic. muahahaha.
Scott Moore, OF. Another of the few Monsters that had some pop in his bat. While not a dominating hitter, he still made the city of Boston happy while he was playing.

Here is a tribute to the Monsters who have come through town, spreading joy to fans and management alike. I have no criteria other than who I like and thought meant the most to my team.Bill Toland, SP. One of the best pitchers in the game up until this point. It was a sad day to trade Bill. I'd also like to add someone into the Monster Hall Of Fame. Even though he isn't retired yet, and I suppose it is possible for him to come back.... but he took a piece of the fan's hearts with him.That player being Biff Schumacher.

It's funny the discussion of emotional attachment to some of these players. I have one pitcher (Tony Sipin) in particular that I've had offers for, who I simply can't trade. He's an overachiever, and I feel like he's my son or something. I also felt bad when I had to bench Tiger Lilly last season. Meanwhile, I'm vindicitve enough to enjoy watching Mike Mathewson suffer with the Bum Organization this year, since his lifetime record against my Goats is something like 25 - 1.

Biff Schumacher is back in Boston, the fans rejoice! muahahaha. I guess he can't be in the Hall of Fame yet. I don't want the other players feeling like he gets special treatment. :DPages: 1
