With a homerun in his last game and for the first time in his career Jonnie Hottub became a member of the 40/40 club. He has done 30/30 seven previous times. I am intersted in knowing how many times this has happened in this league. I am sure not too often.November 08, 2010 at 08:10PM View BBCode
Doing some quick research, I found that 4 other players have achieved 40-40. Rick James of Cincinnati did it in '85(41-51) and the great '67 Detroit team which won 128 games had 2 members - Moonlight Graham(44-60) and Kansas Kold (43-40). Floyd Rivers of Boston did it in '63(40-41). Chad Niebergall had 9 consecutive 30-30 seasons('78-'86), but never a 40-40.Pages: 1
