[Newbie] Energy Bar (answer?)

Q: Do players whose energy bar is less than full perform at a reduced level.
A: For position players, the energy bar has no impact on performance -- it only determines when the player will be forced to take a day off. A player with 2 energy bars will perform the same as if he had 5 energy bars. When he drops to 1 energy bar he will be forced to sit out one game. The speed at which a player's energy bar depletes is determined by his health rating.
I don't think there is a consensus as to whether or not this is true for pitchers. I was under the impression that pitchers at less than full energy took a slight hit on performance. Jet thought this wasn't the case. Tyson or Kee-Won, can you please verify what is actually happening?

I would guess that pitchers just wouldn't last as long into the game. It'd be like they had a lower endurance rating. That's just a hunch, though.

Rule 3.08(a)-Pitchers
...Relievers: Relief pitchers can pitch in the game as long as they have more than 1 energy bar.
However, relievers with less than 5 energy bars will experience diminished skills for the next game. The more tired a relief pitcher is, the less effective he will be. The amount of energy a relief pitcher has depends on three factors: his Endurance rating, how many days out of the last 5 he has pitched in, and how many batters he has faced in those outings. You can see how much each pitcher has faced in the last 5 days by clicking on the energy bar for a relief pitcher.
Isn't the real effect in the game mechanics exactly as the Rule book states?

If that's what the rule Book says, it must be so. Things change around here from time to time. Thanks!

Unofficially, I estimate the following number of batters each level of endurance for RPs:
F 4
D- 5
D 6
D+ 7
For C and up, it appears to increase, where at C- if you start him, he may pitch 4 perfect innings (12 batters) until he starts to tire.
