Shoe has been uncharacteristically silent as of late, so I thought I'd needle him into a discussion. We were slumping pretty badly until we went to Milwaulkee and swept them under the rug, retaking the first place spot in the NL. Oh how sweet it is!!!!!!!!!!:lol:

Tat has been hanging with the aged so long that he has forgotten my visit to Pit Town for games 109 - 111.
P.S... That was a SWEEP for my guys.
Did I run to the league board and broadcast that event? Nope. Was I waving an NL Champs flag when I was in 1st, for a while? I don't think so.. I didn't want to upset the old gents in to an increase in their medications.
I did compose a post or two while I was shining my '77 trophies and making room for the '78 additions but I kept them to myself.
Actually, the owner of the Scrap Heap has had amazing '78 season in the JBL. I understand they are also unbeatable standouts at shuffleboard down at the Old Ballplayers Home.

I'm well aware that it ain't October yet, but if my geriatric bunch can last that long, I'm confident they'll get even for the fluke of last year's NLCS. I also realize it might have been bad form to smack talk after we swept at ya'lls place considering you did the same thing to us at our house, but hey, if I don't get it in now, it may be many many years until I can do it again.
