No Hitters in the News

I have added no hitters to the news feed. You can see these under News->Player Notes, or on the player cards. I've falsely awarded all the home pitchers in the recent game a no hitter to test the code.

I love this! One thought though, I'd like to see the news read something like:

Daniel Jones of the San Diego Greenjackets has just thrown a no-hitter against the Pittsburg Pirahnas.

Also, I'd like to see the words "no hitter" linked to the box score for that game.

What happens if it's a combo no-hitter? Will the sim recognize those?

Hi Chris,
I was thinking about this last night, unfortunately I don't have the boxscore ID info at the point where I can put in the no-hitter info in the code. I could link it to the league scores page though, which is what I think I'll do.

The code doesn't recognize combo no hitters, we've never tracked these.

I've taken the suggestions and incorporated them. You can see this under player news. Note that I forgot to put the city name on when running this, and the no-hitter link opens in the same window instead of a new window. I've corrected this for future no hitters.
