This can't be right, the formula has Derek Jeter in 4th place when everyone knows that Derek Jeter is perhaps the worst baseball player in history.It would appear that even mathematical formulas are not immune to the Jeter hype machine - shame on you Bart and Tyson...........shame.

I'm not sure if you have to be Copernicus to predict Pujols and Mauer.

The voters might put Teixeira closer to 1st than he probably should be, simply by virtue of the great season he had in NY.
Chone Figgins should be higher (or ranked at the very least) for being the spark of a very solid Angels lineup that lacks a tremendous statline aside from Kendry Morales.
I'd be interested to see what the Cy Young predictions are. I'd tend to think Greinke and Carpenter will be the winners now that the 20-win season is a virtual dinosaur and you can actually win the award with a total of 16 or 17.

I agree that this is an easier year to predict than most, with both those guys leading their leagues in SLG and OBP while leading teams into the playoffs (at least a 1-gamer if nothing else).The voters might put Teixeira closer to 1st than he probably should be, simply by virtue of the great season he had in NY.
