Two starters on the market

Bill Wagner has had mid 3's ERA the last three years. Steve Clarke has has low 3's ERA the last three years. They are solid pitcher with lots of playoff experience. Clarke always gets better as the year goes on and is lights out by the time the playoffs come.

I saw the trade and you confuse me I thought you wanted to go younger. Credit to lemaster for excellent trade and Dodgers if you wanted aging guys for your rebuild?

What makes you think I was looking to get younger. I had log jam of similar talent at 3rd base and traded that talent for mentoring points and a better home run bat. I also wanted to get rid of my catcher because he has had no power and has hit only .240 over the last three years. I was also looking for mentoring for the future as Johnson is my catcher of the future and need only a backup catcher with mentoring capabilities. With the pitching I had too many guys sitting in the minors looking for a spot in the rotation. By trading those two players they are now getting the experience they need as starters. Thanks for thinking you know what I am trying to do. I have enough young players I am developing all ready.
