Congrats to Pittsburgh who prevailed over Cleveland in 7 games. After Cleveland pounded out 17 hits and 11 runs in game 1, their bats went silent, getting just 27 hits over the last 6 games and hitting .144 combined. A grand slam HR and 3-run shot took them out of game 7.

Wickey Chism was my World Series MVP, hitting .520 with 3 doubles, 3 homers and 8 RBI.
Each of my starting pitchers put in a winning performance, but most notable were complete game shutouts by Watt and Lolich. I have to say that Joedirt was right on because when we were negotiating that mid-August trade, he told me that Lolich was a solid playoff performer.
This was my first WS win in Simdynasty. It's great playing in a league with all you owners!

Congratulations on your first SD championship, a very special moment! The Iron Horses deserved it. The Cavaliers were a formidable foe and the Horses were up to the task. Great job! And thanks for keeping the World Series banner flying over a ballpark located in an NL city... where it belongs. :D

I need to give credit where due, here. And also mention something that might benefit anyone new to Simdynasty.
I got excellent advice and insight into this game from a veteran Simdynasty player whose login ID is cdunn3. This was part of the ABE Mentor program that started shortly after I began playing SimD. I'm not sure if this mentor program is still around to be honest. But cdunn3 was very friendly and helpful to me as a mentor, and I owe him my gratitude.
