Tribute to our players

I just registered to stay in our Eddie Sawyer league for another round of 3 years, hoping to draft a more competitive team.
In the past 3 years, the Cincinnati Owls had troubles on the mount, our talented pitchers have been underperforming and the mediocre bullpen blown up so many games that even our solid batting lineup was not able to score enough points to win on a consistent basis.
So, the Cincinnati Owls management have only few players deserving a tribute:
1. Willard Granger (2B) is one of the best hitters in the whole league, being selected on the all-star starting lineup in 1951 and on the 2nd in 1952. By far, the best player who ever weared the Owls jacket. Outstanding in each and every aspect of the game.
2. Roberto Mains (3B) was a reliable first hitter, leading the league in 1951 for runs and hits.
3. Red Weston (LF) have been selected on the all-star starting lineup in 1950 and 1951.
4. Harry King (CF) also put up great numbers for the Owls, being selected on the all-star team in 1952.
Those 4 players were the heart and soul of the Owls for the past 3 years, those guys had a lot of pressure to score points to win games as our pitching staff was allowing way too many. Those 4 guys appear in the top 10 all-time league leaders in many offensives categories.
If i had to list all the underacheivers, it would have been a lot longer...
Good luck to all the teams involved in the 1952 playoffs.
