NL-AL disparity

I made a count of players rated A- or better in our league and this is what I got: NL-77, AL-31. Quite a disparity. By positions: SP- NL 25,AL12; RP-NL 14,AL 2; C- NL 3, AL 0; 1B- NL 6, AL 4; 2B-NL 5, AL 2; 3B- NL 4, AL 2; SS- NL 5, AL 2; OF- NL 15, AL 7. Total pitchers, NL 39, AL 14; Total hitters NL 38, AL 17. The difference in pitching is overwhelmingly in favor of the NL. The leagues have split the last 6 World Series, although before that , the NL had a run of 5 straight wins.
