How did you like your 1952 Am. Draft Results?

How did everyone like your results in the '52 Amateur draft?

I had 3rd pick in each round. Here's what I got:

1st: 20y/o B SP
2nd: 17y/o C+ SP
3rd: 18y/o C- SP
4th: 18y/o C- RP
5th: 17y/o D+ RP

I'm very happy with these results compared to to the previous draft. Being 3rd overall probably helped a lot.

How did the rest of LDL like your results?

The draft went alright. I filled some of the holes at P and 2B that I wanted to but only my first 3 picks were decent. No one phenomenal either, but over all a pretty good day.

Better than the last one. I drafted a pretty good looking starting pitcher and another one with potential. Also a position player that could develope into a good ballplayer.
But, I was in the number 2 spot so that helped, I'm sure.

This is my 1st year playing but it looks like I did ok after comparing my picks to the other teams. I am disappointed with 2 of my picks but it is my own fault.

I have some tough decisions to make now though as to who I am going to play.

Regardless - I am having fun so that is all that really matters.

I thought this was a very good draft. I had the 7th pick each round and still managed to get a player in each of the first three rounds that I believe will be solid starters on my team. I'm even more amazed by this because 12 pitchers went in the first round, and several more afterwards. Since all of my draft picks ended up being pitchers, and with all the pitchers that went, I'm surprised that a good one was there in the middle 3rd round.

Not bad. I got a young SP and some decent young OF prospects so it was o.k

I liked it. My first two picks are definate prospects with my third rounder mught turn into a decent starteer. All three are 19 and younger so I won't see how good they are until a couple of years from now.

A 24yo pitcher as he #1 overall pick is pretty lousy in my opinion. If he was 20 or 21yo then it be a good pick but not at 24. Same thing with my 2nd round catcher, too old.:(
