When injuries attack!

December 16, 2008 at 02:59PM View BBCode

Well, July is becoming a test of the depth of KC's lineup. I lost my 4th OF (Shawn Williams) and 7-time All-Star 3B David Murphy in back-to-back games to start the month, and now All-Star 2B William Zanzinger has joined them on the DL!

At the very least my minor leaguers are licking their chops at the chance to get called up and see some ABs!

And once again, Jude Maynard gets the call!

We should start a hall-of-fame for players who pass from team to team via the waiver wire. I nominate [url=http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?player=nobody&mode=stats&id=2821749]Jude Maynard[/url] for the first class. We can call it the Journeyman Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Barely Good Enough to Crack a Roster!

Not sure how long Maynard will stick around this time. I've got one roster move planned at the end of the 12:45 game, but I think Jude's safe for now.

If he does get cut, you can rest assured he'll take the sad song and make it better.

2 AB's in two seasons without a hit and one strike out. I hope he has a day job because moonlighting as a bench player isn't panning out very well.

No wonder he's such a great mentor. He's seen it all and cautions young players to work hard to develop their talent so they won't get cut.

Hopefully he's invested well from those major league minimum salaries he made during a couple of those seasons.
