Can players improve other than through coach points in the minor leagues?Also, at what point do players stop improving?

In the off-season (for dynasty leagues), players improve based on the amount of playing time they got in the majors the previous year. If a player was in the minors the whole year, he'll also improve during the off-season. This effectively punishes a team for keeping a young player on the bench in the majors.

Players can only improve during the season based on coaching points. I think they improve all the way up to 27, although the progress slows down quite a bit after 23.
