I'd just like to add that I have seen Sheffield play in person (Angels vs. Dodgers) and had good seats behind home plate. Watching him waive that bat back in forth like it was a toothpick was awe inspiring. There is nobody in baseball that can waive a bat like that. I'm lucky if I can waive a whiffle ball bat that fast.
