During a recent loss against Washington, the fans began to pelt the field with plastic toy rockets. The toy rockets have come to symbolize the Rockets inability to â??blast off.â?? These toy rockets can be obtained when you order a Kids Meal at the stadium concession and can also be obtained at various fast food restaurants around town.
Right fielder George Krueger understands the fans frustration but wishes they would stop tossing these toy rockets from the bleachers. â??I thought I was in one of those Robin Hood Movies,â?? said Krueger, â??when all them arrows come flying over their heads.â?? These toys do have some aerodynamics to them and can be tossed a long way.
Local merchants report the sale of Kids Meals are booming.

Wow. For a minute there, I thought you might be taking over my team. I thought this was perhaps some sort of coup attempt.
