MLB Offseason discussion

Here in Atlanta we are both excited and nervous for what the offseason brings. Something like 10 or 13 of the guys on our postseason roster are free agents this offseason. That means no more Sheffield, Lopez, Maddox, Castilla (thank God), Fick, as well as most of our bench. We've got a rookie 1B that's ready to come up, but it sure would be nice to have a guy like Todd Helton, who looks to also be a free agent. The guy went to Tennessee, so he has local connections, and he is a pure hitter. i've been a fan of his for a while now. We thought that it was going to be fairly automatic that we would sign Millwood back onto the club this offseason, but now everyone is talking like he's going to the Yankees.
Speaking of the Yankees, what kind of pitching staff do you guys see them having next year. No Pettite? No Rocket? No Wells? That leaves Mussina Contreras and Weaver, right? Will they be able to go out and get a Colon or Millwood, or both? They are basically the only team tht doesn't worry about budget constraints.
Meanwhile Houston is trying to unload salary, Atlanta is going to have less to play with, and Boston is in trouble this year and next. Florida is losing some key guys. Who do you see coming out of the NL next year? Do the Braves get another division title? Do the Phillies overcome them on the strength of a newly enforced bullpen? Does Chicago only get better with Sammy staying home?

Just some thoughts:D
