Geez, the AL has been something else this year. The defending world champeens are in the second division; woeful Detroit has swept both Washington and Chicago this month. Just a few days ago, the New Yorks were threatening to climb into a playoff spot. The Team-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named stumbled along in the middle of the pack most of the season and recently caught fire; they're now a strong second. The Browns had their flirtation with reality and are now back on top of the pack. Meanwhile, my Dips seem to have caught Brown Fever and have tumbled to where we just barely have a chance at the playoffs if we really beat up on everybody in these final series. The 5th-place team is only 10 games back.Over in the NL, looks like Chicago and St. Louis.
