I need your help with this trade offer. This is a Private or Speed League

I have been offered:

1962 Draft Pick Rd 1(BRO)

I would give up:

I would pass as I am not a big fan of that pitching prospect.

First he did not have any CPs on him this season to date so that is a wasted half year at least. Second he is OS19 and only a "C" overall so that tells me he is low on both his key numbers.

You have a good pitcher and he is a #1 or #2 type SP for a playoff team and he is only OS30 so he has 4 seasons in him on top of the current one before he hits decline. Even then he moves to a #3 or 4 and still contributes for a season or 2.

Agreed. A late #1 and a going nowhere prospect is far too little for a player the caliber of Garrett. Worst case, he brings two #1 picks or a #1 pick and a top prospect in the leagues I'm in. This offer isn't close.

Dunn you had an offer for Ramirez & Boddicker offered to you & you would not make the trade. Why would you be willing to entertain an offer for less talant than that offer. You were told in this forum by lvnrth it was a good deal to take it and you couldn't pull the trigger. Any deal you get for Garrett I know I can beat it.

If you want to trade him, just let me know what you want ... w/ in reason.

Killer, that's not exactly what I said. What I said was that I would be reluctant to trade a pitcher of Garrett's age and caliber in any case...BUT, that if he was going to trade him, an offer of Ramirez and Boddicker was a reasonable offer. And given the particular places your two teams are at (Garrett will probably be either retired or nearly retired by the time his present team is a contender), it's a deal that made sense for both teams.

On this offer, I agree with you completely...an offer of Ramirez and Boddicker is totally superior in every regard to the offer that's being evaluated right now.

Sorry for the miss quote lvnwrth. That is what you said, I just took it a little bit further ... I did not look it back up.

I thought he was still looking to trade him but that was not the case. :saint:
